Who doesn't love an interesting playing card? Think about how visually stimulating a common Jack or 7 of Clubs is - not much to smile about. But now imagine if it was 3D AND it spun! Well dream no more as we share a glimpse of the new 3D card display system for Project ATX!
Below you'll see a prototype of what it will look like to play a movement card. Hover over one of the three movement cards in your hand to bring it into view. Click to confirm your choice, and you'll be greeted with something a regular playing card could never do. If you've played a range movement card you'll see it spin before you...eventually freezing and exploding with joy over the number fate has chosen.

Translating a playing card into a 3D object while still maintaining clarity was a fun challenge with an equally fun outcome. Using the Unreal Engine, we're excited to continue adding life to the objects you'll encounter in Project ATX.
Speaking of objects you'll encounter in Project ATX, here's a glimpse into the Dumpster Ship and Escape Pod. While these assets are still very much a work-in-progress, we feel they offer an idea of the general aesthetic of Project ATX.

You'll see defined shapes, sharp edges, all ingredients of an art style we feel will match the tone that we're going for. We can't wait to bake these and get started on the paint job!
Thank you for joining us on Week 6, and be sure to follow us on our socials as we head into the New Year. You won't see much (anything) yet, but that's about to change very soon...
